Odour, Scum & Sludge
10ML Sewage Treatment Plant | Government | Brazil
CHALLENGE
A 10ML per day government STP had community odour complaints, scum within the inlets and excessive sludge management and costs.
The pond system had ‘dead zones’ that restricted flow and a green discolouration was present.
RESULTS
After 3 months dosing, there was no need to dispose of sludge from the reactors since the quantity of settleable solids was negligible. The scum from the reactors was completely consumed. This resulted in immediate monthly cost savings of $15,000
CLIENT
