CHALLENGE
An Australian brewing facility producing over 10ML per annum of beer was exceeding trade waste limits (BOD. TSS. COD) due to increased production. Poor effluent quality from on-site treatment meant the RO system could not run. Issues with odour, sludge, reseeding and foaming.
RESULTS
Dissolved oxygen (DO) increased.
DO set-point of 3.0mg/L was achieved 75% faster (20 minutes instead of 2 hours). Water quality improvements. Odour & foam reduction. Improved settleability and sludge removal (see below photos).
